Rules and Policies

GENERAL RULES

  • The resort is open year-round. 
  • Specific campsites or cabins may be requested, but are not guaranteed. We do offer you the opportunity to guarantee your favorite campsite or cabin by paying a $30 site lock fee. If you opt out of the site lock fee, you are guaranteed your selected site or cabin type, but NOT the specific site number.
  • We have adopted dynamic rates which fluctuate based on occupancy similar to the hotel and airline industry. With that being said, rates vary based upon availability and are subject to change with each search.
  • If you’d like to get early access before your check-in time or extended access after check-out, please call for availability. There is a $25 fee for early/extended access.
  • Must be 21 or older to rent a campsite or cabin.
  • Guests must obey all federal, state, and local laws regarding the ownership and possession of firearms. Firearms are not permitted in any property buildings or common areas. The only exception is that guests may have a firearm in a locked, private vehicle in parking areas if permitted by law. The discharge of firearms, BB guns, air guns/rifles, or similar devices is strictly prohibited.
  • Check-in time is after 1 pm for RV Sites
  • Check-out time is before 11 am for RV Sites

CABIN RESERVATION POLICY

  • Check-in time is after 3 pm
  • Check-out time is 11 am.
  • Limit 6 people per Cabin. Rates based on 6 people (4 years old and older). Additional guests will be subject to Day Pass Fee.
  • Two night stay minimum.
  • Our Cabins are non-smoking and non-vaping. An excessive cleaning fee of $200 will be assessed if policy is violated.
  • All of our Cabins are pet-friendly. There is a flat fee of $50 for up to two pets. Pet owners are responsible for pet clean-up and noise control. For the safety of our guests, pets must be up to date on vaccinations. We reserve the right to remove hostile and disruptive pets from the park. 
  • At the end of your stay our housekeeping staff will clean your Cabin and prepare it for our next guest. You can help us by washing your dishes, putting any items moved back in their original location, bagging your trash, and setting it outside. Guests will be charged $75-$250 if the cabin is excessively dirty and requires extra cleaning.
  • Help us conserve energy by turning off both outside and inside lights when they are not needed. When using AC/heating in the Cabins, please close doors and windows.
  • The furniture inside the cabins has been designed for indoor use. We ask that you do not take the furniture outdoors.
  • Each cabin has been equipped with items to make your stay more enjoyable. We ask that you care for these items and leave them in the cabin when you depart. Guests will be charged for items that are damaged or removed. For information on the cost of items, please give us a call or stop by the office.

VEHICLE POLICIES

  • Speed limit within the Resort is 5 mph. For the safety of all, this rule is strictly

  • All guests, visitors and vehicles must register at the office before occupying or proceeding to a

  • No repairs or maintenance may be done on the Company’s property, except by approved Company mobile services.
  • All vehicles must always have current insurance in place, including golf
  • Anyone operating a motorized vehicle must have a valid driver’s license, which includes e-bikes.
  • RV washing is permitted, and the vendor must supply their own water.
  • Drive only on the roadways and never through an empty

  • Bicycles must follow all road rules including speed limits and all riders are required to wear a
  • Bicycles ridden at or after dusk must have an operable headlight &
  • Drones are not permitted over any campsite or common area to maintain every guest’s right to
  • Roadways are to be used for walking, biking and Other activities on roadways should be limited and not interfere with the enjoyment of the resort by other guests.

SITE CONDITION

  • Please keep your campsite tidy and debris-free, including oil and
  • Only outdoor or patio furniture and items intended for outside use are allowed outside the RV and must be kept to a minimum. Indoor furniture such as couches, recliners, and end tables are not permitted outside the RV.
  • Clutter and eyesores such as garbage, boxes, tools, wood, empty flowerpots, are not permitted.
  • Windows must be covered with standard window No aluminum foil, flags, blankets, or similar items.
  • Flags of current nations, states, provinces, sports teams, military, and college affiliations are No other flags are permitted including political party, confederate flags, or flags containing profanity.
  • No skirting is allowed around your RV.
  • The following are not allowed on sites (including under the RV):
    • Sheds, decks, stairs, fences or utility buildings, including storage
    • Concrete blocks, form structures or brace
    • Tarps are not permitted on camping
    • Clotheslines or the hanging of
    • Appliances outside the RV of any type, excluding a portable grill/smoker.
    • Carpets, mats, potted plants, on grass.
    • Air conditioners not designed for RV use (i.e. window units or evaporative coolers).
    • Pools, hot tubs, trampolines, bounce houses and similar
    • No Boats, cargo trailers, or other vehicular equipment are permitted on site unless approved by
    • No Tents are
    • Operating a business from your site, not including ‘work from home’
  • Permission is required to alter sites in any way including any building

PET POLICIES

  • Non-aggressive pets are welcome and must be registered at the Front Desk upon arrival. There is a maximum of 3 pets per campsite and 2 pets per pet-friendly Pet fees apply for pets in pet-friendly Cabins.
  • Pets must be always kept on a maximum 6-foot leash while within the
  • Pet kennels, pens, corrals, or crates, are not permitted. Pets may not be left outside unattended.
  • Pet fencing is permitted, however the fence must not be more than 48” tall, must be temporary, and upon request from Horseshoe Ridge Staff, be promptly removed for groundskeeping.
  • Guests are responsible to “clean up” after their All pet waste must be properly disposed of in a trash receptacle.
  • Guests are responsible for noise control related to their pets. No excessive barking or disruptive behavior will be tolerated.
  • Guests should carry proof of pet’s current
  • Pets are prohibited in ALL Resort buildings, including restrooms, and within the pool fencing.
  • Noisy, vicious, or unruly pets are not Guests who are unable to control their pets must remove them from the premises, or the animal may be taken by local animal control authorities.
  • Horseshoe Ridge is not responsible for and will hold accountable pet owner for any injury or damage caused by pet(s). In addition, the owner of the pet that causes injury or damage to others is expected to resolve the issue directly with the injured party.

SECURITY

  • Video cameras are in use in common areas of the property. These devices, or lack thereof, are not a guarantee of personal safety or protection of personal property and are not a guarantee against criminal
  • Horseshoe Ridge is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged
  • Please be sure to keep your valuables and bikes locked when not in

CODE OF CONDUCT

  • Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM.
  • Parents are responsible for their children’s and visitor’s behavior and compliance with Resort
  • You are allowed up to 6 people per site rental, which includes RV sites and Cabins. Additional guests, outside of the 6-person allowance, will be subject to the Day Pass Fee(s).
  • Children under 14 must always be accompanied by an adult while on Resort This includes all amenities, buildings and the pool.
  • Please be courteous to other guests around you and do not walk through other
  • Loud, objectionable noise/music is not allowed at any
  • Profanity, violence, or inconsideration towards other guests and/or Resort personnel will not be
  • Alcohol: If taken off your site, must be concealed in a foam insulator or plastic
  • Please leave the Resort facilities as you would like to find them and clean up after yourself.
  • No soliciting of business is allowed at Horseshoe Ridge.
  • No smoking, including vaping, in any Resort buildings or outdoor recreational amenities. Smokers, please do not throw your cigarette butts on the ground. No possession or use of illegal drugs.
  • Horseshoe Ridge reserves the right to refuse service, ask visitors to vacate, or deny access to anyone under any circumstances it deems There are no refunds if you are asked to leave the Resort.
  • Any stolen items from the Trading Post will be billed to your account with a $100 surcharge.

 

SITE & RESORT AMENITIES

  • If you have any issues with your site, report it to the
  • Sewer: All sewer connections must have an airtight seal as required by State & Federal law. All sewer hoses must be elevated and free of leaks. You must use septic-friendly tank treatment and RV toilet paper, no other chemicals or paper products including formaldehyde, flushable wipes, paper towels or feminine products, grease/fats, diapers, cat litter, hazardous substances, syringes, etc. can enter the septic Position your hose on the concrete utility pad for your sewer service, please do not put your hose on the grass.
  • Electric: We recommend the use of a surge protector. Plug your RV power cord in firmly with no space between the plug and the chosen Turn on the appropriate power breaker after the plug has been inserted. Excess cord must be coiled neatly on the site pad. When departing, turn the power breaker off before disconnecting your plug from the receptacle.
  • Guests are only permitted to use 1 electrical receptacle at a time on their pedestal. 30amp or 50amp receptacles are available. Guests are only permitted to use the pedestal allocated for their site.
  • Water: We recommend the use of a water pressure Any excess hose must be coiled neatly on the site pad. Heated hoses are required to be used during periods of freezing weather.
  • Valet Trash: Place all bagged trash at the end of your site between the hours of 8 AM to 10 AM for Trash pickup is limited to normal household trash, no large items will be serviced. Please do not leave your trash out overnight.
  • Fire Pits: Only propane fire pits are allowed at the sites. We do not allow any open flames or charcoal grills due to the high fire danger and drought in Central Texas.
  • Never leave a campfire unattended and fully extinguish campfires when you are done enjoying them. Fires are not allowed on the ground
  • Generators: Use is prohibited except with written permission from park management for unique
  • Please do not use portable grills on the picnic table without protecting the table from heat and food
  • Additional and/or specific rules for the swimming facility, golf cart rentals and other amenities will be outlined in the rental agreement or posted near the amenity.
  • Please do not cut, trim, or otherwise disturb the natural vegetation at Horseshoe Ridge.
  • No nails, screws, or bolts in Resort

 

EMERGENCY AND SAFETY

  • After you call 911 and time permits, please call the Front Desk so that staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site.
  • If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, please call the Front
  • Legal/illegal weapons, fireworks, firecrackers, slingshots, bows and arrows, toy guns, or anything that could be mistaken as a weapon are NOT permitted outside of the RV.
  • Firearms including BB guns, pellet guns, air guns & paintball guns must be kept inside the Pursuant to Section 30.07, Texas Penal Code (Trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (Handgun Licensing Law), may NOT enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly.
  • Please winterize or otherwise protect your RV during freezing Horseshoe Ridge is not responsible for damages caused to your RV by freezing conditions and furthermore, the Guest will be responsible for any damages to Horseshoe Ridge property resulting from improper freeze protection of the Guests RV and associated connections.

 

The above rules & guidelines were established to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance, with a “Good Neighbor Policy” in mind. Since every contingency cannot be covered in a set of rules, we reserve the right to update the Rules and Regulations at our discretion. Your compliance is very much appreciated and will ensure a pleasant stay for all.

We do not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature. The fun continues rain or shine. Our cancellation policy varies depending on the timing of your cancellation notice in advance of the reservation date.
 
Cancellation Policy for Short-Term RV stay:
-You will be assessed a $35 processing fee if you cancel your reservation dates outside of 30 days.
-You will be assessed a fee equal to one night’s stay if you cancel your reservation between 3-30 days.
– If you cancel inside of 3 days, you will forfeit your deposit.
 
Cancellation Policy for Monthly RV stay:
-You will be assessed a $35 processing fee if you cancel your reservation dates outside of 14 days.
-You will be assessed a $250 processing fee if you cancel your reservation dates inside of 14 days.
 
Cancellation Policy for Cabins:
-You will be assessed a $35 processing fee if you cancel your reservation dates outside of 30 days.
-You will be assessed a fee equal to one night’s stay if you cancel your reservation between 14-30 days.
– If you cancel inside of 14 days, you will forfeit your deposit.

  • Date Change Fee for RV Reservations:
    -You will not be assessed a fee if you change your reservation dates outside of 30 days.
    -You will be assessed a $35 fee if you change your reservation dates inside of 30 days.
  • Date Change Fee for Cabin Reservations:
    -You will be assessed a $35 fee if you change your reservation dates outside of 30 days.
    -You will be assessed a $75 fee if you change your reservation dates inside of 30 days.
  • Shortening Reservation Policy:
    RV Site Reservation: You are subject to the Cancellation Policy for the dates you are canceling.
    -Cabin Reservations: You are subject to the Cancellation Policy for the dates you are canceling.
  •  100% deposit is required for stays under 7 days
  • $500 deposit is required for monthly rv stays
  • We gladly accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
  • Reservations will be held until check-out time on the day following your scheduled arrival. No shows will result in full forfeiture of funds.
