What Makes an RV Resort Pet-Friendly?
Not all RV resorts in Texas welcome pets, and those that do may have different rules and amenities. Here are key features that set pet-friendly RV resorts apart:
1. On-Site Dog Parks & Off-Leash Areas
The best pet-friendly RV parks offer designated fenced areas where dogs can run freely and safely socialize. Look for parks with shaded dog parks, agility courses, and waste stations.
2. Pet Policies That Prioritize Safety
A true pet-friendly RV resort has clear and fair policies, including:
✔️ Allowing multiple pets per campsite
✔️ Providing off-leash play zones
✔️ Enforcing leash rules in common areas
✔️ Having breed-inclusive policies
3. Pet-Washing Stations & Trails
After a long hike, pets need a cleanup! Many RV resorts in Texas feature dog-wash stations and open walking spaces for a relaxing experience.
