What is there for families to do at Horseshoe Ridge?
Plenty — and most of it is steps from your site. The resort-style pool is the hub; from there it’s pickleball and lawn games, evening firepits for s’mores, and a game area with shuffleboard and a pool table in the amenity center. Add a golf cart rental to zip between it all and you’ve got a full day without leaving the property. See everything on our resort amenities page.
What can kids do at the resort pool?
The pool is built for family days, not just laps. Shallow areas give younger swimmers a safe spot to splash, there’s room for older kids to actually swim, and shaded lounge space lets parents keep an eye out while they relax. Wide decks mean towels, snacks, and the whole crew fit without a scramble for chairs.
What family sports and games are on-site?
Pickleball is the headliner — easy to learn, hard to stop — and the courts welcome beginners and regulars alike. Add cornhole and shuffleboard outside and a pool table in the amenity center for the evening, and you’ve got friendly competition that works whether your crew is six or sixty.
Where do families gather in the evening?
The firepits. After the pool dries off, families pull up around the fire for s’mores, stories, and the kind of slow evening that doesn’t involve a screen. It’s the part of the stay guests tell us their kids ask to do again — and it’s a few steps from your site.
Does it work for younger kids and grandparents too?
That’s the whole idea — it’s multi-generational by design. The pace is quiet and residential, the activities scale from toddlers to retirees, and because we’re owner-operated, the regulars get known by name. Grandparents relax, parents exhale, kids run a little — everybody gets the trip they wanted.
No RV? Bring the whole family to a cabin
Friends or family without a rig can stay in a fully furnished cabin rental steps from the pool and firepits — same resort, same amenities, no camper required.
