Where can families swim in the Hill Country?

This is swimming-hole country. Jacob’s Well and the adjoining Blue Hole Regional Park are the iconic spots — crystal-clear, spring-fed, and just up the road, though both require reservations in the summer season, so book ahead. For a mellower day, the Blanco River and Blanco State Park give you shallow water and picnic tables without the crowds.

What is there to do in Wimberley with kids?

Wimberley Square is made for an easy afternoon — ice cream, toy and candy shops, and galleries within an easy walk.
